Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Ryan Delgado ventured to New York to obtain his bachelors in political science from Columbia University. After graduating from Columbia, Ryan’s passion for government and the law led him to Austin, where he worked as a legislative aide for the Texas Senate. Ryan’s work with the Legislature focused several policy areas that he is passionate about, including affordable housing, state affairs legislation, and healthcare.
After working at the Texas Legislature, Ryan received his doctorate of jurisprudence from University of Texas School of Law, where he was a Staff Editor for the “American Journal of Criminal Law.” During his time in law school, Ryan gained valuable experience clerking for the Honorable Chief Justice Roy Valdez of the 13th Court of Appeals and also for a prominent commercial litigation firm in Austin.
Ryan joined PHIPPS ANDERSON DEACON LLP in 2016 and brought with him a diverse range of legal knowledge, including experience with first party insurance litigation, mass tort cases, complex commercial litigation, personal injury and products liability litigation. This range of experience makes him a versatile member of the Phipps Family.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys traveling, live music, and Longhorn sports.
